Thanks for all the ones that have been asking if everything is ok with family and friends after the earthquake that hit Mexico city. It has been a tough time for everyone and even coming back to our “routine” is simply not that easy.
I confess it just didn’t feel right to start writing on the blog again about fashion and new looks when there are so many people that need our support. But then I realized there are a couple of green initiatives to support the ones in need. I have never heard of them before and I believe they are great recycling ideas, so I want to share with the ones that are looking at how to help so they can join the movement and to create awareness as these projects can be executed anywhere around the world.
This is my way to keep helping and spreading the word. Sorry if this time is not focused on fashion, but like I said in my first sustainable vibes post, My intention is to communicate ideas that can make a less contaminated world even more if it is linked to a good cause.

Gracias a todos los que me han preguntado por mi Familia y amigos después del terremoto que hubo en México. Han sido tiempos difíciles para todos, y aunque ya han pasado various días, regresar a la “rutina” no ha sido tan sencillo.
Confieso que para mi no ha sido fácil volver a escribir en el blog sobre moda y nuevos looks cuando hay tanta gente que necesita de nuestro apoyo. Pero luego me enteré de un par de iniciativas verdes enfocadas en ayudar a los que más lo requieren. Nunca había oído de estas ideas pero se me hicieron incríbles para reciclar, así que se las quiero compartir para los que estan buscando como ayudar y también para crear consicencia de que estos proyectos se pueden ejecutar en cualquier parte del mundo.
Esta es mi forma de continuar ayudando, pasando la voz. Disculpen que en esta ocasión no sea de moda pero como se los conté en el primer post enfocado a lo sustentable, mi intención es comunicar ideas que propicien un mundo menos contaminado y mucho más si está ligado a una buena causa.

前段时间，墨西哥发生了地震。很感谢很多人对我和家人表示关心和慰问。这次地震对很多人来说都是煎熬，想让生活恢复正轨绝非易事。
很抱歉这次的主题不是关于时尚。但鉴于很多人处于困境仍需救援，现在并不是个写潮流推文的好时机。所以这次，我想介绍一些绿色项目，能对震后救援有所助益。虽是初次听说，但我坚信回收利用是个很赞的主意。通过这篇推文，我希望能号召让更多的人加入灾后救援的队伍，因为它能在全球范围使用。
可能这次的主题会让很多时尚粉失望，但这是我帮助国民的方式。正如之前的推文，我的初衷是传播第一条关于环保和可持续发展的理念。

PET bottles to build emerging houses.
This initiative quickly got a lot of attention because it covers 2 main problems. First one is to recycle plastic and the second one is to build houses with the recycled plastic bottles instead of using bricks. The bottles are filled with sand and then used in combination with concrete to build each wall.
These houses are a great temporary option for those who can’t go back to their homes because they were severely damaged. They are around 60 to 65 square meters using apron 15k bottles per house. They are highly resistant, earthquake safe, weather insulated and sustainable because they include a rain collection system
VIEM (stands for emerging houses in Spanish) is one of the groups coordinating this project and right now they are in the first stage which is collecting all the material. Through their FB page, you can check the locations where you can leave all your bottles and in which other ways you can help through the next 2 stages.
Important to mention you need to deliver the bottles clean and with the tap included. Preferably 1 lt bottles (not carboy)

Botellas de Plástico (PET) para Construir Casas
Esta iniciativa ha ganado popularidad muy rápido porque propone una solución para dos problemas. El primero es el reciclaje de botellas de plástico. El segundo es construir casas con botellas de plástico en vez de usar ladrillos. Las botellas se rellenan de tierra y luego se combinan con concreto para aplanarse y formar cada pared.
Estas casas son una excelente opción temporal para aquellos que no pudieron regresar a sus hogares porque quedaron muy dañadas. Miden entre 60-65 m2 y se utilizan aproximadamente 15mil botellas por casa. Son altamente resistentes y térmicas, además de ser sustentables ya que cuentan con sistema de captación de agua.
VIEM (viviendas emergentes) es uno de los grupos que está organizando este movimiento. Ahora se encuentran en la etapa 1 que es recolectar las botellas. A través de su página de FB pueden ver los centros de acopio y otras formas pueden ayudar en las siguientes dos fases.
Es importante mencionar que las botellas que donemos no pueden estar aplastadas, deben estar limpias y con tapa. Aceptan todo tipo de botellas de preferencia de 1 lt (no garrafones)

用PET塑料瓶建造灾后临时居所
回收利用塑料瓶代替砖头临时住所是个一举两得的办法。而且，用装有沙子的塑料瓶撘墙坚固而牢靠。这些临时房屋为流离居所的灾民提供了权宜之计。每个应急所大约60到65平米，用一万五千个塑料瓶堆成。它防风抗震，坚固可靠且环保，还自带雨水回收系统。
VIEM（西班牙语中对临时居所的称呼）是实施PET临时居所的组织之一，目前正处于第一阶段——收集材料。你可以从它的Facebook主页得知回收站的地址或者其他回收塑料瓶的方式，帮助它进行后续阶段。
此外，请确保在提供塑料瓶前将它清洗干净，并记得盖上盖子。瓶子大小最好是1升。玻璃瓶不属于此范畴内。
Plastic bags to create bedrolls.
Another great way to recycle and help is through plastic bags. Due to this event tons of DIY videos were released to explain the complete process. Cutting plastic bags to create a yarn and how to knit a 1.70 x 1 mt plarn bedrolls. If you don´t know how to knit you can prepare the plastic yarns and deliver to groups that are knitting them. Teamwork!!
To get an idea each bedroll takes around 700 plastic bags and they are waterproof
I’ll leave you some groups I’ve found which are organizing workshops. Please don´t buy new plastic bags! The idea is to recycle the ones we already have.

Bolsas de Plástico para Hacer Colchonetas
Otra gran idea de reciclaje y ayuda es a través de bolsas de plástico. A raíz de este evento se han publicado muchos videos explicando todo el proceso. Cómo cortar las bolsas de plástico para hacer madejas que sirvan para tejer colchonetas de 1.70 x 1mt. Si no saben tejer no se preocupen, ya que pueden hacer las madejas y entregarlas a grupos que las están haciendo. Trabajo en equipo!
Para que se den una idea cada colchoneta usa entre 500 y 700 bolsas y son impermeables. Ojo! No compren nuevas bolsas de plástico, el punto es que reciclemos las que ya tenemos.
Les dejo algunos grupos que encontré que están organizando talleres ó recibiendo el material.

2. 塑料睡袋
另一个项目是关于回收利用塑料袋。网上有很多相关视频介绍这个项目的具体流程。大致内容是把塑料袋切成条状，然后编成睡袋。如果你不知道如何编，你可以把塑料袋寄给相关负责组织。团结就是力量！
每个睡袋大概要用700个防水的塑料袋。我可以提供一些我了解到的相关组织的信息。请不要再买新的塑料袋！这个项目是为了回收利用。
