PINK MONOCHROME OUTFIT

¿Qué tal su semana? Tan loca como el clima? jajaja. No soy muy fan de días nublados y lluviosos, así que mejor me enfoco en hacer looks creativos y coloridos para animarme. Como resultado: este look monocromático en rosa que amé. Pero que es un look monocromático?

Definición de Monocromía

La palabra monocromía viene a su vez de dos palabras. “Mono” que significa úno y “cromía” o “cromático” que significa color. Así que un look monocromático se crea con base en el mismo color. Suena simple pero la parte divertida viene cuando mezclamos diferentes tonos y texturas del mismo color.

Todos hemos hecho un look monocromático aunque sea una vez. BINGO! looks en tonos negros es el mejor ejemplo. Ahora tomemos un color más atrevido para llevarlo al siguiente nivel.

Tips para crear looks monocromáticos

1. En primer lugar, tomate tu tiempo para planificar con anticipación un atuendo monocromático. Juega y mezcla piezas; la clave es experimentar y combinar hasta que te sientas cómodo.
2. Selecciona un color que armonice con tu tono de piel. ¿Cómo sabes eso? Porque el color perfecto tiende a iluminar tu piel, difuminar las líneas finas y despertar tu rostro.
3. Una vez que hayas elegido el color, no tengas miedo de mezclar texturas. Esto te dará profundidad y dimensión y hará que el atuendo sea más interesante. Imagina esto: una blusa de encaje roja combinada con una falda de satén roja y capas con una chaqueta de cuero roja.
4. Otra opción puede ser jugar con estampados.
5. Los accesorios como sombreros, bolsos e incluso joyas están incluidos en la ecuación, recuerda que puedes mezclar y combinar diferentes tonos del mismo color.
6. Si te sientes demasiado abrumado por el uso total del color, puedes comenzar combinando 2 o 3 piezas. Yo escogí  un atuendo monocromático rosa, pero agregué un toque de azul claro en mis zapatos.

Elegí el rosa brillante porque ilumina instantáneamente mi tono de piel. Encontré este pantalón en Uterque y recuerdo que instantáneamente pensé en esta playera que ya tenía en mi closet. Me enamoré instantáneamente porque me sentí fuerte y poderosa pero divertida y creativa.

How’s the week treating you? crazy as the weather? I personally don’t like rainy days so I prefer to focus on creating vibrant and colorful outfits to cheer up. As a result: this pink monochrome outfit that I loved, but what is monochrome?

Monochrome definition

Monochrome comes from 2 words. “Mono” which is single and “chrome” or “chromatic” which means color. So, a monochrome outfit is created with the same color. It might sound simple, but the fun part comes by mixing different shades and textures of the same color.

We all have put together a monochrome outfit at least once, BINGO, a black outfit is the perfect example. But now lets take a bold move following this styling tips.

Monochrome Outfit Tips

1. First and foremost take your time to plan in advance a monochrome outfit . Play and mix pieces; the key is to experiment and combine until you feel comfortable.
2. Select a color that harmonizes with your skin tone. How do you know that? Because the perfect color tends to brighten your skin, blur fine lines and waken up your face.
3. Once you picked the color don’t be afraid of mixing textures. This will give depth and dimension and make the outfit more interesting. Picture this:  a red lace blouse paired with a red satin skirt and layered with red leather jacket.
4. Another option can be playing with patterns and prints.
5. Accessories such as hats, bags, and even jewelry are included in the equation, remember you can mix and match different shades of the same color.
6. If you feel too overwhelmed by the total use of the color, you can start by pairing 2 or 3 pieces.  I  wore a pink monochrome outfit but added a touch of light blue with my kitten heels.

I chose bright pink  because it instantly brightens my skin tone. I found this Uterque pants and I remember I instantly thought of  this t-shirt I already had in my closet. I was instantly in love because I felt strong and powerful but fun and creative.
