Tod@s en algún momento hemos sentido que lo que está de moda en cierta temporada no va con nuestro estilo. Tendencias muy arriesgadas presentadas en combinaciones tan “locas” que aunque nos gusten no sabemos por donde empezar. Algo que me ha funcionado bien para poder integrar nuevas tendencias a mi closet es descomponer los looks que presentan en pasarelas o en los aparadores y ver cada pieza por separado. Se sorprenderían de lo fácil que es decidir si lo podrías combinar o no.

We have all felt at some point that trends simply don’t match our style. Bold and risky or crazy combined trends put us in the “where to start?” position. Something that has worked for me to integrate new trends into my closet is to break down into separate pieces whatever I see in runways or shop windows. You’ll be surprised by how easy is to decide whether you can mix and match with your own clothes or not.

GLITTER & SHINE
Amo esta tendencia porque es universal. Ya no es exclusiva de niñas chiquitas y puedo usarlo tan sencillo o tan elegante como quiero. Las opciones van desde brillos delicados en las uñas, backpacks y bolsas hasta vestidos de noche de lentejuelas. Lo mejor es que funcionan igual de día como de noche.
I love this trend because it’s universal. Not exclusive anymore for little girls and I can wear it as basic or elegant as I want. Options go from delicate glitter nail art, backpacks and purses to an entire sequin dress. The best is that I can wear this trend either day or night.
MAXIDRESSES & LONG SKIRTS WITH BOOTS
Me encanta usar vestidos y faldas durante todo el año y esta tendencia es ideal para mantenerme calientita. Las botas arriba de la rodilla se ven totalmente diferente con este look. Tip: para verme más alta escojo el mismo color en la falda y las botas
I like to wear dresses and skirts all year round and this trend is perfect to keep me warm during winter. Over the knee boots look totally different in this look. Tip: To look taller I’ll pair skirts and boots in the same colour.
HAIR ACCESSORIES
Así como los brillos, siento que todos los accesorios para cabello me recuerdan mi infancia. Moños, pasadores, diademas, pinzas para el cabello, etc. han transformado mis looks relajados en unos más pulidos.(con algunas propuestas de peinado aquí) Me gustan todas las opciones, super femeninas con perlas y brillos y otras muy cool como los pasadores dorados. Just like glitter, I feel that hair accessories bring back childhood memories. Bows, bobby pins, headbands, etc. have taken my relaxed outfits to a polished look (click here for some hairdos I have done). I honestly like all options, feminine with pearls and rhinestones or others with a cooler vibe like golden bobby pins. Some of you have asked where I buy them.
