Bonito lunes guap@s! Les cuento que la semana pasada tuve oportunidad de acompañar a Iván Ávalos en su desfile. Lo he seguido de cerca desde que llegué a México pero es la primera vez que lo veo en vivo y no me defraudó. Su colección Nazario se inspira en la herrería que transforma el metal en todo tipo formas, y así él transforma las prendas convencionales en looks poderosos (La música de Marlyn Manson les da una idea de a que me refiero?). Conforme iba avanzando el desfile una palabra se formaba en mi mente: Dualidad. Una mezcla bien balanceada entre el sol y la sombra, lo femenino y lo sexy, entre estampados vintage de lineas y cuadros y materiales que emanan sensualidad como la piel, la organza y los estoperoles .
Los accesorios fueron parte esencial de cada look. Boinas hechas del mismo material usado en varias de las prendas, chokers con detalles metálicos y maxi cinturones que definían la silueta sin quitar protagonismo a cada prenda.
La colaboración con Dr Martens me encantó. Como dato curioso les diré que no era fan de esas botas porque se me hacen muy toscas para mi estilo. Pero Bobs tiene un par que AMA y se pone cada vez que puede… al principio lo trataba de convencer que hay zapatos más cool pero acepto que la convencida fuí yo porque gracias a él me comenzaron a gustar más.
Mis favoritos para cerrar mi nota. La falda de estoperoles que pareciera una calavera, la falda gris de flecos y el vestido negro con la falda en corte asimétrico. Cuales son sus favoritos? déjenlo en los comentarios.

Happy Monday everyone!
I had the opportunity to join Iván Ávalos on his runway show last week. I’ve been following him since I arrived in Mexico last year but it is the first time I get to see his show live and he didn’t disappoint me. Nazario, the name of this collection is inspired in the ironwork that transforms metal into all kind of shapes, the same way he transformed conventional pieces into powerful outfits (Marlyn Manson music rings a bell when I say powerful?) As the show is going on, one word is strongly appearing in my head: duality. A well-balanced mix of light and shadows, feminine and sexy, between vintage prints with lines and squares and materials that emanate sensuality like leather and organza.
Accessories were made to fit every look as an essential part of it. Berets made from the same material used in other garments, chokers with metallic details and maxi belts that defined the silhouette but without taking the attention from the show itself.
I loved the collab Iván made with Dr. Martens. As a fun fact, I wasn’t a fan of those boots because I considered them too rough for my style. Nevertheless, Bobs has a pair that he LOVES and wears every time he can… at the beginning, I tried to convince him that there were other “cool” options but the one that got convinced at the end was me as I like them much more now.
My favorite pieces from this show to finish this note. The skirt with studs that form something like a skull, the grey fringe skirt, and the asymmetric black leather dress. Which ones were your favorites? let me know in the comments.
