Sustainable Fashion Vibes – Eco&More Tea Tree Oil

This is the second time I have experienced a really cold winter. The first one back in Seoul a couple of years ago (-22 gives you a hint how cold it was) but even then I didn’t struggle like I’m doing now with my skin being dry and shineless. I guess crossing the 30’s does hit you huh!

There are new beauty products appearing in the market as I type. I have tried quite few, look at some of my favorites here, but as the organic and natural products are growing I really wanted to give them a try. Thanks to everyone that have given me recommendations, my list is pretty long already!

Eco&More

I found Eco&More first time in last Shanghai Fashion Week. The name itself caught my attention as I don’t recall seeing a strong presence of an eco-friendly brand offering home and personal care products.

So I went for the face and body wash and the tea tree oil. Their products have some plant based ingredients and to my nice surprise they are the first brand in China to have a PETA certification (not tested in animals)

The products are a little pricey, but is no surprise as almost everything ecologically sustainable is. The upside is that you can refill your bottle during the events the brand organize so the plastic bottle can be reused more times instead of being thrown away.

The face and body wash has a natural and nice smell. It doesn’t create a lot of foam which I personally don’t like, but is does keep my skin moisturized. My favorite is the oil. It is very concentrated so just a couple of drops make the job. I have been using it in different ways: diluted in water for the humidifier, for DIY face masks and mixed with my face cream and I feel it stays hydrated for longer time.

Es la segunda vez que me toca vivir un invierno tan frío. La primera vez fue en Seúl hace un par de años (a -22c. les da una idea de lo frío que era) y aún así no tuve tantos problemas con la piel seca y sin brillo como ahora. Creo que cruzar la barrera de los 30 si pega verdad?

Hay nuevos productos de belleza apareciendo en el mercado mientras escribo. He probado varios (pueden checar mi último post sobre mis productos favoritos aquí) pero con la tendencia de los productos orgánicos y naturales cada vez más fuerte me he decidido a darles una oportunidad. Gracias a los que ya me han recomendado varios, mi lista para probar ya está super larga.

Eco&More

Descubrí la marca de Eco&More por primera vez en la última semana de la moda en Shanghai. Sólo con el nombre ya me había generado curiosidad ya que no recuerdo haber visto una marca eco-friendly con una presencia tan fuerte ofreciendo productos para uso personal y del hogar.

Decidí probar el gel para cara y cuerpo y el aceite esencial de té de árbol. Sus productos tienen varios ingredientes extraídos de plantas, no contiene parabenos ni aromas artificiales y para mi grata sorpresa son la primera marca en China que obtiene la certificación de PETA por no hacer pruebas en animales.

Es cierto que sus productos no son tan accesibles, pero sabemos que todas las marcas sustentables tienen un precio más elevado. Sin embargo, Eco&More está creando eventos donde puedes recargar tu botella para que puedas usarla varias veces en vez de tirarla a la basura.

El gel para cara y cuerpo tiene un aroma muy agradable y natural. No genera mucha espuma, lo que personalmente a mí no me gusta, pero si mantiene mi piel más hidratada.  Mi favorito fue el aceite de árbol de té ya que está muy concentrado y sólo con unas gotas puedes hacer muchas cosas. Lo he estado diluyendo en el humidificador, mezclando con las mascarillas y también con mi crema para la cara. He notado la diferencia de como mi cara se mantiene humectada por más tiempo.

这是我第二次经历一个非常寒冷的冬天。上次还是几年前在首尔的时候（－22度，就是这么冷），但我现在皮肤干燥、没光泽。我想30岁的确会让人显老啊！

市场上总有新的美容产品。我已经尝试了一些，我的最爱是有机产品，随着天然产品的增长，我真的想尝试这些产品。感谢每个给我建议的人，我的天然产品名单已经相当长了！

Eco&More

我在去年上海时装周上发现了Eco&More。这个名字本身引起了我的注意，因为这个环保品牌提供家庭和个人护理产品，别的品牌都没有。

所以我买了洗面奶，沐浴乳和茶树油。他们的产品有天然植物精华，我很惊喜地发现他们是中国第一个有PETA认证的品牌（不在动物身上测试）。

产品有点贵，但所有生态系统可持续的产品都会有点贵。好处是你可以在品牌组织的活动中重新装满一瓶茶树油，这样塑料瓶可以被重复使用，而不是被扔掉。

洗面奶和沐浴乳有自然而好闻的气味。它并没有很多泡沫，我个人不喜欢这点，但的确让我的皮肤滋润了。我最喜欢的是茶树油。它非常稠，所以只要几滴就行了。我一直都在用不同的方式使用它：在水中稀释后放到加湿器里，DIY面膜时混合着茶树油，我觉得它保持水分的时间长。
